Two aircraft diverted to Mattala

Two aircraft from India and Indonesia that were scheduled to land at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) this evening were diverted to the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) because of bad weather, official sources said.


The aircraft will return to BIA as soon as the prevailing weather condition return to normal, the duty officer at the BIA said.
